What is the difference between in home care and home health care?
In home care includes companionship and help with ADL’s – activities of daily living. These include dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting. In addition, Keepsake Companions offers help with chores, transportation to appointments and shopping and medication management. Home health care is clinical medical care provided by an registered nurse or other skilled medical professionals. It is commonly prescribed as part of a care plan following a hospitalization.
How do you choose the caregiver assigned to us?
Choosing the caregiver assigned to you or your loved one is a team effort. We interview you to determine care needs. We also talk about preferred habits and interests, as well as personality. Then we use our expertise to match these traits with the talents and styles of our caregivers. Together, we choose the caregiver that fits best.
